Our 12 Year Olds--The Never-Ending Party

William and Ryrie have now been deacons for 2 weeks, and it is still a shock to me how old they are.  They have been showing all the signs of maturing and growing, and it is so wonderful to watch them take on new responsibilities and challenges with a cheerful attitude and willing heart.

The morning of October 22nd--two very excited birthday boys:

The Lego Fiends

Cherry cheesecake was Will's request

Birthday cards from the younger brothers--this was my favourite gift

Owen went all out

Tommy spelled his card phonetically:  This is Will's page, this is Ryrie's page...chocolate cake, etc.

We decided to let them have a friend party--one last time.  They each invited their best buds over, and we had a street hockey game, or rather a tournament, which lasted 1 1/2 hours.  After that, we fed the hungry troops a bunch of pizza and watched Epic.  It was a great opportunity for James and I to observe them interacting with their peers and watching them deal with being the center of attention with all their friends.  We are so grateful they have such wonderful friends.

Carrot cake was Ryrie's request

The boys have so much love and family support.  For their ordination to the Aaronic Priesthood they had all their living grandparents here.  We are so grateful for the sacrifice they made to come!
November 3rd was the big day--my best birthday present ever!
