Here's a little pictorial of some of our doings in September:
| The first day of school: Middle School for the twins, Grade 3 for Owen, Grade 1 for Tommy! |
| Tommy's grade 1 class |
| Meeting the twins at the bus stop |
| Our luscious garden of Eden. I love the grape arbor James made |
| This is the first time in history that I have grown a red pepper! We got 12 peppers in all--a huge harvest! |
| This is a daily scene in the boys' bedroom. On the last day of summer vacation, the twins went to the dollar store and purchased a whole bunch of "army guys" and had major battles. Then they were done. Lego, however, endures the test of time. |
| At the Terry Fox Run. I accompanied their classes in walking over to the park for the run. They were fairly embarrassed I was there, but put up with me. They stood at the back of the pack, determined not to run too fast, but Ryrie ended up placing 25th in his age division in spite of himself. Will was not far behind! |
Tommy at his Terry Fox run--I got a hug from him. Thank goodness for the First Grader!
Owen at the Coaldale Canucks opening BBQ--he won the draw for the hockey bag!
We have 4 Cool Canucks now! Tommy was so excited at the BBQ. He wanted to wear his jersey to bed that night! Instead he settled for counting the sleeps until hockey practice.
| George finally overcame his fear of the Strider bike and now boots around everywhere on it. |
| King Owen, enthroned. We went to Waterton for a beautiful day--and found that our new favorite hike is all full of gravel. That was sad, but we explored another part of the river and had a great time. |
| First practice! Here we go--the twins are in the older division now, so they are working harder and getting more one-on-one with the coaches in a smaller group. |
| Woohoo! Tommy's first practice! Owen sure took care of Tommy and made sure he was happy and knew what to do at practice. It was sweet to watch him giving Tommy encouraging remarks all through practice. Especially because Tommy fell down. A lot. |
| We discovered another hidden gem down in the river bottoms this fall--the Wetlands. I drag the kids there every chance I get now. |
I just can't get over this bridge. It never ceases to amaze me.
| Oilers season is starting again! |
| The die hards that will keep the Oilers in business for years to come. Rootin for the home team. |
