Thomas is still plugging away at the potty training and is beginning to cry wolf sometimes at key moments, like right before I put him in bed, saying earnestly "Potty Time!" Well, you can't ignore that, can you! He still helps me constantly in the kitchen (and all around the house and yard)and will tell me when something is boiling or when something needs to be mixed or chopped or added. He has started dragging his willing monkey "ee-ee" around the house and he had an unfortunate accident this week in the kitchen. I was so glad it wasn't Tommy's hand that was too close to the burner! We patched it up with duct tape, but we will need a more permanent remedy as the innards are wanting to leak out periodically!
As many of you may know, NHL Stanley Cup finals are in full swing. The twins are very interested in the teams because they each have a Fantasy Team (well, we all do in fact) and they are keen to follow the happenings, which James enjoys a lot. The Oilers were out of it a long time ago, but Tommy and Owen still have hope for their future:
Last night Willy came into the kitchen happily clutching a bloody tooth and said, "Mom, guess what? Ryrie kicked me in the mouth and my loose tooth came out!" I was glad he was happy about it! Then we all joked that Ry should have aimed a little more to the left and knocked the other one out while he was at it! This time the tooth fairy remembered in a timely manner and Willy was overjoyed at the prize in the morning.
