Tommy has been potty training for one week now. Things are going very well this time around! He has had relatively few accidents, and is pretty proud of himself. To keep him on the potty long enough, we often sing together, and one that he requests quite often is "Hot Cross Buns." Pretty fitting, don't you think?

He's following in his brothers' footsteps. Here's Owen at about the same age:
I can just imagine you running through all the old favorites together with the little dear. That's cute. :) It's funny, I was just thinking about potty training today. Thinking about how it totally changes your life for a few weeks (or more): no long car trips, visiting every store bathroom, worrying in church, etc. etc. But it all turns out to be so worth it in the end (I always think as I wash out smelly diaper after smelly diaper . . .)! Good luck with it all! I'm so glad it's going well. Do you have any certain "method" you use? I wonder if the younger ones do better, just having older brothers to idolize and want to be like. Seems like Seb is _determined_ to keep up with Abe in every way. I can't tell yet if Ky will be the same. But I will probably have two in diapers for at least a little while. Motivation to try training Ky early . . .
ReplyDeleteHe's so big! Tell him way to go from all of us! I can't believe that he's out of diapers. It sure saves a small fortune though! We can't wait to see you all in just a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how old Tommy is getting and what a similiar build he and Tristan have. You'll have to give me some tips on potty training boys. It'll be great to see you in a couple weeks!
