Today was a wonderful 1st Day of spring here in Alberta! Because it is such a longed-for day, even if we know we can still expect to get a few more snowstorms, everyone in our little town was out and about today. When Owen, Thomas and I picked up the twins from school, they informed us that it was the first day of Spring and we decided to celebrate by going on our first family bike ride of the season! I also happened to spy on the boys from the basement window and watched as they swept out their fort in the bushes, brought in a table and chairs, and had a vigorous game of pretend going. I love warm-weather play--their hands get so dirty! It's the greatest.
Hooray! I love Spring, and dirty hands.
ReplyDeleteI thought to myself yesterday as the boys were out riding their bikes, "How did I survive without this all winter?" We even did some work in the yard today. I hear it's supposed to snow next week though. :(
