The boys had a great first week of school. I think I was 4 times more nervous than any of them (since there are four of them, stands to reason), and after the first day they stopped being nervous. I continued on for a day or two, but feel much better now. Four boys in one school! It's hard to send them away, but I also love hearing about all the wonderful things they are learning and doing. So hard to fathom that William and Ryrie are in grade 5. Fifth graders! I loved my fifth grade year. One of the best ever, really. I hope they have a similar experience. Owen is in grade 2--another favorite of mine. I'll let them tell about their teachers/friends, etc on their own blogs. Tommy was so excited for kindergarten that he hardly took his backpack off to eat breakfast. He wore it all morning, waiting for lunchtime (he's in the afternoon class). He figured lunchtime should be earlier in the day so he could get to school sooner. :-) It was fun to sit in class with him for a bit and see him get excited about all the new things to look at. As George and I walked down the hallway after, and on the drive home, George kept asking where all the boys were. He then continued on to Dad--"Will Daddy be home?" "Nope, honey, I said, just you and me." I've enjoyed getting him to myself. :-)

Wow! They look so grown up!!
ReplyDeleteYes, they do look grown up! Four boys in one school and it doesn't seem too long since you were in the 5th grade either!!
DeleteCan't believe it! They're growing up way too fast. I bet it's nice to have little George to yourself for a little while though ;)
