We had a really fun Christmas up in Edmonton this year. We arrived at Grandma Spencer's house on Friday the 23rd and a full house of family greeted us--Lloyd and Jeanette and kids, Jane and Wade and boys, and Tom and kids. And Grandma of course. From that moment until the last, we had days packed with food, fun, and family. Lots of talking, visiting, laughing, and a bit of resting too. It's just good to be together at Christmas time. Here are some of the things we did together--quite a bit outside, because Edmonton was unusually warm this year!
Sledding--the boys lasted 3 hours! Georgie and I not so long. We forgot to bring his toque so he borrowed Grandma's.
Christmas Morning--5 sleepy heads and the opening. (not the best lighting)
The cousin gift exchange was a grand success--all the kids were given names (Grandma drew them and emailed them to us) and they each went shopping for their chosen cousin with their own money at the dollar store. The kids got so excited about finding the right things for each other--once they got over wanting to buy themselves something, that is.
Tommy, George and Owen got to have a bath with cousin Kent! Four nakies in a tub. Owen did not want to be photographed.

A day on the LRT/Bus and visiting Downtown Edmonton
A day at the church--playing ball and "minute to win it" with Grandma. And a really fun outing to a beautiful frozen lake with two islands on it for ice skating. Georgie had a lot of fun being pushed around the lake by James and I.
Not pictured--a day at the West Edmonton Mall Water Park--so much fun, but too wet for a camera.
We celebrated New Year's Eve at Grandma's and also had an early birthday party for the January birthdays--Kent, James, and George.
I have to say, Rach, those are some darling boys you've got there! :)
