We have a new son! George Jameson Spencer made his grand appearance on Tuesday morning, January 19th. We are so glad he's here! Because of a few false alarms for the past few weeks, even staying at the hospital overnight on one occasion, it seemed like we were waiting for George for a very long time. The other boys are so excited to have him here. Tonight William commented that he's always sleeping and he's a little bit boring even though he's really cute. I find him completely fascinating at this stage and know that each stage will be that way. Today, during one of the many times I was staring at his face, he was smiling big huge smiles in his sleep. It was a very sweet prediction for the future. He has a lot of personality already, and although James and I took a long time to figure out his name, it really does fit him like no other name can, and we think we got it right. George is our largest newborn so far, weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs, 10 oz. It's really amazing to hold such a big, well-developed baby, not to mention that he eats like a pro. We couldn't be happier with our little Georgie and we love him very much.
As to the monkeys--they are our special animals around here. Thanks again, Auntie Jane for supplying the last three monkeys! We love them!
Oh, Rach, he is DARLING! And you look AMAZING! How are you so lovely after giving birth (to a 8lb-10oz-er!)? I think George is a perfect name. I remember that you were considering it way back when you were pregnant with the twins, and I think it fits perfectly with the rest of your family. Good choice!
