5 Alive!

Yesterday was Mr. O's birthday. He turned five. I like to tell the boys the story of their birth when it's their special day. Owen's was remarkable for me, although it was a "textbook" delivery from start to finish. During my pregnancy I prayed every night for a full-term baby, preferably weighing 8 lbs and measuring 20 inches in length. I wasn't too surprised, therefore, when the nurses announced his weight and height, fitting with my expectations perfectly!

Everything about him was miraculous to us. He could breathe on his own, nurse so well, and as time passed he hit every milestone right on target. We are so thankful for this sweet beautiful boy who came to live with us!

We Love you Owen!

  1. Happy bday O! Why the tight-lipped smile on the big day? Something to hide maybe?...

  2. Mr. O! I love you! I loved hearing about the date you and James took him on.
You know that first pic of Owen on his blessing day has been in our living room on a side table in a beautiful frame for 3 years. Kent has joined our family and the picture has stayed the same. Funny story: People come to our home and comment on the sweet picture of "Kent". Then I have to correct them that actually that is one of my nephew's (I haven't printed off a single picture of Kent yet -crazy I know.) I can officially report that the livingroom frame has a pic of Kent in it as of last week! Yes, Kent is almost 10 months old. The pic of Owen is grouped with the rest of the neices and nephews now!
