I decided to go back in time a bit to show some fun pictures of us experiencing the parade in Raymond on July 1st. We had a fun time and afterwards ate some great food with our friends the Pillings and enjoyed their lovely backyard. After that we drove home and James and I pondered how we want to change our backyard to include more shade. (More to follow on that later).

| We chose to sit at the end of the parade route, so the boys entertained themselves with what was readily available--dirt, while waiting for the good stuff--candy. |
| George was probably the most fun to observe during the parade. He was so excited about everything and also so friendly to everyone in the parade--he felt he had to wave and say hi to everyone personally. Also he was surprised and delighted by the candy, whereas everyone else just expected it. |

| Nice to find some shade! We are sitting in the driveway of the Halls' old house (Aunt and Uncle of James) |
| As you can see the boys expected a lot of loot--they were sadly disappointed. We were happy. |
| We are thrilled to finally have a flagpole in front of our house! The Canadian flag waved proudly for a few days and then we put up Old Glory for a few days. Quite fun. On the 4th James was out of town, but the boys and I celebrated with a picnic at the park, birthday cake, and watching a fun movie. Happy Birthday to our two great countries!! |
Looks like a grand time, and the boys are growing up so fast!
