| A huge butterfly that landed on one of our poppies. The poppies were so beautiful until the hail came-- lots of hail and rain and flooding in our area. |
Georgie has been so fun lately. I love to be with that kid. Here are some "Georgie-isms":
"I want to Show...You...Sum...Pin!!" (Or tell you something)
"Mom, I can't found them!"
"I'm not a baby, I'm Georgie!"
"You're the mommy lion, and I'm the Georgie lion!"
"There goes a zombee mom!" (a bumblebee)
"Gross! You are Nakeed!"
"Help me get mine dress on?" (get dressed)
"You're my best friend!"
Last week we walked to church--which looks like quite a parade--and I was holding G's hand crossing the road. He had his little Book of Mormon in his other hand and was waving at people in the cars stopped waiting for us with it. He is always waving at people everywhere we go.
The other day we had a friend over, and George started singing him different bits of songs and asking him, "what's that one?" When he didn't get it, George would say, "that's Star Wars!" or "Harry Potter!"
This week at the pool George and Tommy made up a new game with the dollar store squid-looking water toys I bought. They connected two mats together to make "icebergs" and then pretended they were little penguins diving off the ice to search for food (the squids). Georgie called his a "wiggly-thingie."
I like to watch George when he doesn't know he's being observed. Yesterday at the spray park, he was so much fun to observe. He found a safe little water spurt (safe from the big kids spray guns) that he focused in on for about 30 minutes. First he just put his toes in, then worked his way gradually up until he was running through it and putting his head in. He also enjoyed chasing different "water volcanoes" around the spray deck. Often while I am getting ready in the morning he will bring stuff in and put it on my bed. He loves to play with anything he can find, and I love to hear him talking to himself as he sets things up. He is very content to do that, as long as he doesn't get interrupted or disturbed by his older brothers.
When we had the hail--two different times--he was so cute as he watched it out the window. He kept calling it "popcorn popping!" which is exactly what it did look like! He also calls the cotton from the cottonwood trees around town "popcorn."
He sings a lot--and often one song will morph into another one. I was laughing at his arrangement of Follow the Prophet the other day because it included some popular songs that we have on cd.
Pretty much everything he says or does is stinkin cute. He has won the heart of Ms. Kohn, Tommy's teacher. He loves to ask her for things, and she can't really resist him. She is looking forward to kindergarten with George in about 3 years. :-)

| last day of kindergarten--George brought Ms. Kohn some flowers, which she put in her hair. |

Wow! What a heart throb! Sounds like the teacher changed a lot or the kids did!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it all worked out. So great. Thank you, Rach!
ReplyDeleteAlso, that Georgie is a pure delight and joy.
