Catching up, AGAIN!

Wow, I can't believe how much time has gone by since my last post.  This is getting embarrassing!  Life isn't that busy, is it??
Travel back in time with me if you will, to April--Easter break:

Evening with Grandpa Halvorsen.  He retold the wonderful Candy Bomber  story to the kids--he had some of them be in Berlin and some in West Germany, and he brought it to life.  I never get tired of hearing that story!

Sophie and her two Late Bloomer Aunties take the plunge to get our ears pierced!!

You think this is all acting--well not really.  Yes, I was a bit nervous!

The deed is done!  Fun, fun, fun!

This should definitely have happened sooner in my life, but better late than never, right?  Seems to be my motto in life,

We are ready for a ski day!  Wait, where's all the snow?

Some (un)happy campers (skiiers).  This ski trip was not meant to be, alas!  Maybe next year.

Thanks to a kind man who worked at Sundance, we got a free ride on the lift to the top and back--and that was enough excitement for everyone.  It even rained on the way back down, a true mountain adventure!  We packed the kids up and went to Classic Skating (roller) instead.

Nana and Grandpa saved the day by buying us all hot chocolate at the Sundance lodge.  Yummmm!

Yes, this is still the same April trip!!  Crazy Utah weather!  George at his first BYU game.   Well, technically it was a Blue vs. White or something like that--Offense vs. Defense?  No that can't be.

Cousins and Sand Castles--they spent a lot of time out here in the sandbox.

Our wonderful Conference trip.  Unfortunately Grey, Kassie, and Nana couldn't get in with us, but the boys and I had a wonderful time in the session and a great time on the car ride up.  Temple Square was so pretty.  I love being there, even when it is super crowded.  Owen did very well at his first General Conference.

Hiking the Y--this is becoming an annual tradition!

Georgie's first time.  He did really great!  He got carried quite a bit of the way, but also walked quite a lot.  Not bad for a tough hike and tiny legs!

Hikes are great times for catching up with conversations and singing songs.   Nana was a trooper to help us on this hike even with a headache!

Here's the proof that we made it to the top!!
Three of the 2010-ers, enjoying a relaxing sit on the porch swing.  Georgie really loved playing with his cousins this trip.  It's fun to see them get old enough to realize there are other little kids their size around!
Cheesy grinner

This is my Outside Boy

This one too!  He did take some nose dives off the swings, unfortunately.

  1. Look at you! You're so cute! I love the earrings. Can't believe you took the pierced-ear plunge! :) I still remain un-pierc-ed to the rot-e.

I wish we could have seen you on that trip. Looks like you had a lovely time though. How fun to go to conference with your big boys!
